We’ve been to Wagyu Master a few times now and the service has always been pretty sub par, but our last visit was on a whole different level of bad. When we first entered, the host did not even bother standing up to greet us and just stayed sitting down the entire time. Service the rest of the meal was super slow and super inattentive, even though the dining room barely had anyone in it. Our server mentioned that business has been slow lately, but honestly, it feels like the real issue is just poor management and zero effort from the staff. The restrooms were gross. There was graffiti carved into the walls, a super dirty toilet seat cover holder, and the door locks were so loose they felt like they were going to fall off at any second. To make matters worse, on my way back from the bathroom, the host was sitting at a customer table with her leg up on a chair, loudly chatting with another server and dropping heavy curse words while guests were still dining nearby. It was by far the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen at a restaurant. The only bright spot of the whole visit was our food runner. He was super friendly, quick, and polite, and he was literally the only person

I've never seen anything like this in America. Not American Wagyu. Not Australian Wagyu. This is 100% Japanese Wagyu AYCE. They partnered with Japan's largest Wagyu distributor, bringing authentic Japanese Wagyu to Pasadena. You'll also find 80+ unlimited menu items, including sushi, sashimi, seafood, and desserts. The quality honestly surprised me. If you love Wagyu, this place is worth saving.

Finally tried this new wagyu hot pot spot and the quality honestly surprised me. Even the clear broth had a lot of flavor, and since the wagyu itself is already so rich, the lighter soup really lets the freshness of the beef stand out. Everything felt very organized, from the sauces to the side dishes, and the staff were attentive about recommending different cuts and explaining what was worth trying. The wagyu definitely feels premium. The lobster roll was insanely good, and the wagyu burger ended up being one of my favorite items too. One tip: if you’re more excited about the side dishes and extras, the cheaper plan may actually be the better value. The premium meats are so rich and filling that you get full surprisingly fast. Definitely make a reservation — the wait can get very long. Already looking forward to coming back.

I’ve been to Wagyu Master in San Jose so I promised my boyfriend we would go in Pasadena! The food was really delicious! How can you go wrong with waygu meats?! They also had a self/serve bar with lots of other items as well like meat skewers, a curry rice station, sauce station, lots of sushi and sashimi, veggies and sides and more meats! Eric was our server. It was our first time here at this location so we had lots of questions. He was really knowledgeable about the menu and offered lots of suggestions. Drew also helped us out a few times as well. Both servers were super helpful and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Nico, who cooked one of our dishes was also nice, personable, and even waited for me to come back to the table before cooking the meat for us. He was super chill & made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The quality of the food was excellent, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. We definitely felt like we got our money’s worth. Overall, a fun and satisfying dining experience—we’ll definitely be back!

This was a fantastic place, great food, great vibe. Eric helped us this evening and he was really helpful and really friendly. Everything was delicious, perfect for 2-4 people!
